About Great River Resonance

We are a 5-octave bell choir comprised of ringers from throughout Central Minnesota. We've all been playing for a while; the ringers in Great River Resonance average nearly 20 years of handbell experience.

Great River Resnonance started in 2021. Even though it was in the midst of the pandemic, we really wanted to ring. Making music together was (and is) a core part of what drives us. We hope you'll join us!

Upcoming Events

Great River Resonance Concert – Gather at the River

Sunday, August 25, at 1pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids, MN

Our concert will feature selections related to rivers and from our recent HMA Area 7 Festival Conference in La Crosse, WI.

The concert is free to attend – though we'll gladly take donations to help us buy more music and equipment for our next concert!

After the concert, we'll host another handbell "fun ring" (also free). If you're new to bells or if you've played for a while, you'll have the opportunity to try your hand at some new pieces. Bell enthusiasts of all skill levels are welcome to join!

Great River Resonance Collaboration Concert with the St. John's Boys Choir

Saturday, October 12, at First Lutheran Church in St. Peter, MN

Sunday, October 13, at First United Methodist Church in Sartell, MN

We're excited to be joining with the St. John's Boys Choir for their Fall concert series. We'll be playing a few solo pieces and supporting many of their songs as well!

We're still finalizing times for the concerts; stay tuned to this site for updates.

Friends of Great River Resonance

A few acknowledgements from Great River Resonance – these folks deserve recognition too!

Our bells and chimes are a combination of Schulmerich and Malmark. We get the best of both worlds!

We're a part of the Handbell Musicians of America, and we proudly represent Area 7 (MN, WI, ND, and SD).

Finally, thanks to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Atonement Lutheran Church in St. Cloud for providing the bells, chimes, and rehearsal facilities.
